Keselowski Qualifies On the Pole at New Hampshire

July 12, 2013

LOUDON, N.H. (July 12, 2013) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion team won the pole position for the Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) on Friday afternoon with a track-record run of 28.022 seconds.

This is Keselowski’s second career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) pole at NHMS, both of which were track records. His first came in the fall race in 2010. It’s his fourth career NSCS pole position with the other two coming at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2011 and the rained-out session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this year.

Penske Racing teammate, Joey Logano, will start the race from the 25th position in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion.

“We’ve had good speed since we started here today,” said Keselowski. “Obviously there is a lot more to racing a race track than how fast you are in qualifying but it is still a good start. We have a great race car here and I think our race team is ready. We have been close. We’ve had the speed the last few weeks to get the job done but different scenarios have bitten us. Those will come and go. This is our time.”

The Camping World RV Sales 301 will air live at 1:00 p.m. ET on TNT on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
