BROOKLYN, Mich. (June 13, 2014) – Team Penske will be well represented well in Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Raceway, as Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Juan Pablo Montoya all qualified for the Father’s Day event.

Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford team led the Team Penske trio with a sixth-place qualifying effort. Logano followed, posting a ninth-place effort and Montoya, who had to make the field on speed, notched a 27th qualifying result.

“The speed was just not quite there today in qualifying,” said Keselowski, who’s lap clocked in at 202.908 mph. “Our Ford Fusion is handling well though and I think that between what we found today and what we will work on tomorrow in practice, we will be good come Sunday. I am looking forward to racing here at my home track and expect that we will be fighting for the win.”

Logano, who just missed making a second run in the final qualifying session, had another strong qualifying effort and he maintained his series-best record for final round appearances in the knockout style qualifying despite being the 24th and final car to make it in the first round.

“I feel like that was hard-fought,” said Logano. “We barely made the first round and barely made the second round and in the third round I thought we had a good lap, but the track just cooled off and everyone else went faster.  From where we started in the first round, I didn’t think we were going to be very good, so we recovered decent and I think we learned some things throughout qualifying. Some of our changes were really good, so I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”

Montoya, who is returning to the Sprint Cup Series as a Team Penske driver for this event, is making his first start of the season behind the wheel of the No. 12 SKF Ford.

"The hard thing is this place is so quick that getting used to the car is hard,” said Montoya.  “We did three runs with the SKF Ford today and three of the runs this morning were scuffing the tires.  Our big goal is to go to Indy and win.  I’m really good there. I know I’m really good here, and I think the more time we have to run, we’ll get a lot better.”

The Quicken Loans 400 will be televised live this Sunday at 1:00 pm ET on TNT. The race will also be broadcast on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
