Logano to Start Second in Dollar General 300

CONCORD, N.C. (October 11, 2013) – Joey Logano and the No. 22 Discount Tire Ford team will start from the front row in the second position during tonight’s Dollar General 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Logano lapped the 1.5 mile speedway in 29.450 seconds at an average speed of 183.362 miles per hour during the afternoon qualifying session. Penske Racing teammate, Sam Hornish Jr. will start from the third spot on the grid.
"We had a real good lap, but man I hate to lose the pole by .004 seconds, but our Discount Tire Ford Mustang is good. We were just too loose in qualifying. But we have a good pit stall and a strong car, and I know that Jeremy Bullins and my crew will take care of me in the race.”
The Dollar General 300 will air live at 7:30pm ET this evening on ESPN2. The event will also be broadcast on PRN and SiriusXM.
