November 16, 2013

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 16, 2013) – Sam Hornish Jr. and the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Ford Mustang team earned the pole for today’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Hornish lapped the South Florida speedway in 32.561 seconds at a speed of 165.843 miles per hour during today’s qualifying session. The effort marks the veteran driver’s fourth pole of the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series season.

“Our Alliance Truck Parts Ford has been really good all weekend,” said Hornish. “We had two informative practices and then we made a few tweaks to our Mustang last night. Thanks to all the guys back at the shop and to my crew for giving me a fast Mustang. We have a lot of work to do to finish this season the way we want, but this is a strong start.”

Penske Racing teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano will start third and fourth, respectively.

The Ford EcoBoost 300 will air live today at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
