Recap: The second day of practice for the Roar Before The 24 at Daytona International Speedway began under warm, sunny skies but rain would rear its head before the end of the day. Speeds continued to increase through the first session of the day with Juan Pablo Montoya leading the way for Acura Team Penske with a lap of 1:36.594 seconds around the 3.56-mile roval circuit, good for sixth-fastest of the session. In between practice sessions the skies opened, and the track was not completely dry before the second practice session of the day, resulting in slower speeds all around for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors. The No. 6 Acura ARX-05 team again led the Acura Team Penske charge, this time with Simon Pagenaud posting the sixth-fastest lap at 1:37.446 seconds. The long day ended with the much-anticipated night practice session – the only session of the weekend to run under the lights. Ricky Taylor put down the fastest lap among the two Acura entries with trip around the track in 1:35.841 seconds before spinning the No. 7 in the bus stop with 20 minutes remaining in the session. Minor damage to the front skid plates was repaired and the team finished the session on track.

The final day of the Roar Before The 24 on Sunday will feature a morning practice session followed by qualifying for pit stalls for the DPi class at 12:15 pm.
