April 23, 2016

Gold Coast, Qld, 22.04.16:  In February 2016, Team Penske announced a multi-year extension with Bosch to continue one of the most successful and longest-standing partnerships in motorsports in North America.

This partnership has now extended to Australia with Bosch announcing an Australasian association with DJR Team Penske. The partnership will see a number of Bosch automotive products fitted to both the DJR Team Penske Falcons, including Bosch Spark Plugs. Since inventing the spark plug in 1902, Bosch has been at the cutting edge of spark plug technology working closely with leading automotive original equipment manufacturers.

Bosch will also promote the Bosch Car Service brand through the DJR Team Penske association. With an ever growing network of 155 independent automotive workshops located across Australia and New Zealand, the V8 Supercars program provides an ideal marketing platform for the Bosch Car Service brand.

"Our partnership with Bosch has grown and developed over the last 25 years and we are proud of the success we have had together," said Roger Penske. "Bosch is an important partner in our organization as it provides components and technology that help our teams maximize their performance. We are excited that the partnership has been extended to the Australian V8 Supercars Championship and Bosch will be featured on our DJR Team Penske Fords."

DJR Team Penske Managing Director Ryan Story added, "Team Penske and Bosch have a global partnership across multiple series and as such, this makes Bosch a unique, and extremely valued technical partner for DJR Team Penske here in Australia. Our engineering staff work closely with technical partners such as Bosch and we gain significant input from motor sport learnings from our partnerships."

"Bosch is extremely proud to be associated with DJR Team Penske," said Damion Newsome, Regional Director Oceania, Automotive Aftermarket. "As one of the most iconic automotive brands, it seems only right for Bosch to be involved with two icons of motorsport in Dick Johnson and Roger Penske."

"We see this opportunity as a brilliant and exciting way to increase the levels of awareness of our products as well as the Bosch Car Service Network. The opportunity to be associated with DJR Team Penske will not only benefit Bosch but also our customers, including those who visit our Bosch Car Service Workshop network across Australia and New Zealand."

The Bosch Spark Plug and Car Service Logos feature on both the DJR Team Penske Ford’s driven by Scott Pye and Fabian Coulthard.
