Scott McLaughlin and Alex Premat win on Australia’s Gold Coast for DJR Team Penske.
After starting 13th for the Australian Supercars Championship Gold Coast 600 race, DJR Team Penske driver Alex Premat raced his way up to fifth place before turning the No. 17 Shell V-Power Ford over to co-driver Scott McLaughlin. An aggressive pit strategy pays off for DJR Team Penske as McLaughlin pits one lap ahead of the rest of the front-running cars. The move allows McLaughlin to seize the lead of the 102-lap race around the Queensland beach street circuit and claim the team’s seventh victory of the season.

Brad Keselowski pulls weekend double duty for Team Penske, racing in both the NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville, as well as the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) event at Gateway.
With Keselowski opening the weekend driving the No. 12 Dodge at Martinsville for Cup Series practice and qualifying, Parker Kligerman fills in by competing in the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge at Gateway. Racing in his first full season for Team Penske, Keselowski starts 20th in the NXS race at Gateway and he quickly works his way up through the running order after taking the green flag. With solid strategy and a late-race pass to get by leader Reed Sorensen, Keselowski earns his sixth Xfinity Series win of the season. The victory helps Keselowski maintain his lead in the series standings on his way to claiming Team Penske’s first NASCAR Championship.
