Sam Hornish Jr. Starts 41st for the Pocono 500

Hornish Jr. posted a qualifying lap of 54.522 seconds at a speed of 165.071 miles per hour.
"We were running 10th doing long runs in race set up here two weeks ago when we tested but we're really not sure what happened today," Hornish Jr. said. "We didn't do any qualifying runs because we felt that it was better suited for us during the test and we thought we were going to be pretty good."
"Today we can't figure it out," Hornish Jr. continued. "We'll just have to figure it out tomorrow during practice. It's a long race and if you have a good car, you'll go to the front. So we'll just keep working on it, and hopefully we'll get the Mobil 1 Dodge where we need it to be."
