Hornish to Start 25th at Dover International Speedway

DOVER, Del. (September 19, 2008) – Sam Hornish Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger, will start the Camping World RV 400 at Dover International Speedway in the 25th position on Sunday afternoon.
During qualifying, Hornish posted a fast lap time of 23.261 seconds at a speed of 154.765 miles per hour placing him in the 25th overall starting position. Hornish was the second fastest rookie contender behind Patrick Carpentier and the third fastest competitor of those required to qualify on time.
“I feel the Mobil 1 Dodge had a little more to give out there today,” said Hornish. “When I knew we were in the race after the first lap, I didn’t push it too hard on the second lap. We have a really good race car for Sunday and we will keep working on it tomorrow during practice.”
Coverage of the Camping World RV 400 will air live on the ABC television network on Sunday, September 21 beginning at 1 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast live on MRN at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
