Sam Hornish Jr. on Kansas Speedway
“I’ve had a lot of success at Kansas Speedway in the IndyCar Series. It’s a place where I have always enjoyed racing and hope to achieve similar success in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

“As the season begins to wind down, I’m glad that we are returning to intermediate tracks over the coming weeks. This No. 77 team has done well at 1.5-mile tracks this year and I tend to run better at the larger tracks. We are excited about the coming weeks and are intent to regain position in the top-35 in the 2008 owner points standings.”

Crew Chief Travis Geisler on Kansas Speedway
“Kansas is one of the few tracks that we only run once a year and is the only track left that Sam has not been to in a Sprint Cup Series car.

“Fortunately, he has been to the track with the IndyCar Series, and he has had much success there. Kansas Speedway has a lot of similarities to other intermediate tracks and the No. 77 team has had strong runs this season at 1.5-mile tracks. I look forward to a good run this weekend with the Penske Truck Leasing Dodge.”
