No. 12 Penske Racing Star Trek Dodge Charger News and Notes
• This Week’s Charger… The No. 12 Penske Racing Star Trek Dodge team will use chassis PRS-610 during Saturday night’s 500-mile race at the famed Darlington Raceway. PRS-610 is a new car to the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team. 
• Come and See Me… Stremme will be signing autographs at the Darlington Dodge display on Saturday, May 9th at 3:30 pm EST. The Dodge display is located in the midway, behind the frontstretch at Darlington Raceway.
• New Look… The No.12 Dodge Charger will have a new look for the Saturday night race in Darlington.  For the second consecutive week, the No. 12 Dodge Charger will sport a special paint scheme to help promote the theatrical release of “Star Trek.” The movie hit theaters nationwide yesterday.  For more information, visit http://www.startrekmovie.com
• Racing Family… Being a race car driver was really the only option for David Stremme. Both his dad, Lou, and his mom, Cindy, are race car drivers. Cindy has won multiple track championships in a number of different divisions over her 30-year career behind the wheel of late model stock cars.  The driving duo still reside in David’s hometown of South Bend, Indiana.
• Watch and Listen… The Southern 500 presented by GoDaddy.com will be seen live on Saturday, May 9 on the FOX television network. Race coverage is scheduled to begin at 7 pm EST. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 128.

“The next four weeks for me is all about gaining points. We have had great cars every week and do not have the finishes to show for them. [Crew chief] Roy [McCauley] has done a great job preparing these cars and we have just had terrible luck. We were running in the top-five last week with less than 100 laps to go and were caught up in a wreck. My focus for the month of May is to gain as many points as we can. We are going to a track I really like and have good runs there. We just need to finish races.

“I really like Darlington. It has a rich history and has been a part of NASCAR racing since the beginning. To be able to race at a place where names like Petty, Earnhardt and Allison have all made a name for themselves is really cool. We just need to go there and stay out of trouble all day and get ourselves back in a position to make the chase.”

“Darlington is a place where you have to keep up with the track. The track changes a good bit during the event and the team that makes the right adjustments to the car to set up for the final couple of runs wins. Darlington Raceway is one of the places on the schedule every racer loves going. It is such a big part of NASCAR and what it has become. To be able to say you have won the Southern 500 is huge.  We are taking a new car and I am hopeful we will have a solid performance.”
