David Stremme on racing in the Coca-Cola 600
“It is the longest race of the season. Mentally it is draining. You start the race during the early evening when the sun is still out and race until almost midnight. Those last 100 miles are really tough. If your car is not handling well during the day, it typically will get better as the sun does down. We have to be careful not to over adjust on the car early in the race. We had a really good car (at the Showdown) last weekend and learned some things that will certainly transfer to Sunday’s race. I am excited and ready to get going.”

Crew chief Roy McCauley on the Coca-Cola 600
“Our goal this weekend is to stay out of trouble all day and bring our Dodge home in the top-15. David [Stremme] did a great job last weekend at the All-Star event and we learned quite a few things which will help us on Sunday. The middle groove seemed to be fast and our setup seemed to work really well there. It is such a long race and we just need to keep our nose clean and get to the finish.”
