July 9, 2009

Joliet, Ill. (July 9, 2009) – Sam Hornish Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 77 Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Dodge Charger, will line up to start the LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in the 16th position on Saturday night.

Hornish and the No. 77 team are proudly sporting a special paint scheme this weekend in Chicago. The Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Dodge is designed in part to show ExxonMobil’s continued support for the Alliance to Save Energy and its Drive $marter Challenge, which has the goal of increasing fuel efficiency nationwide.

During qualifying, Hornish posted a fast lap time of 29.838 seconds at a speed of 180.977 miles per hour placing the No. 77 team in the 16th starting position.

“The Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Dodge was pretty good through turns one and two tonight, but a bit tight in turns three and four,” said Hornish. “We probably gave up a little out there but I’m happy with the way the car has handled so far this weekend. We were good in race trim in practice and we’re definitely ready to race on Saturday night.”

Coverage of the LifeLock.com 400 will air live on the TNT television network on Saturday, July 11, 2009 beginning at 7:30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast live on MRN at 7:15 p.m. EDT.
