No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger News and Notes
• This Week’s Charger… The No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-707 during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS). PRS-707 was last raced at Texas Motor Speedway in November.
• A First Time for Everything... Raised on the short tracks of Michigan, Brad Keselowski feels right at home on the NASCAR bullring circuits. This weekend he will make his first Cup Series start on the most-famous bullring of them all. The first-year Penske Racing driver has an impressive resume at the half-mile BMS oval in the Nationwide Series. In six starts he has compiled one win and three top-five finishes. He has finished no worse than 12th in his last five Nationwide Series races at Bristol.
• No. 12 Penske Dodge in 2010... After four events, Keselowski and the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team currently sit 33rd in the Cup Series driver and owner points. Keselowski finished 36th in the Kobalt Tools 500 in Atlanta, Ga. two weeks ago, following a late-race incident.

• Bulldozer Brad… This will be Keselowski’s “ring name” as he takes part in a Wii boxing tournament on Friday night as a part of the Food City Race Night fan event at BMS. The event begins at 6:35 pm ET in the hospitality area.
• The Rest is History... Penske Racing has enjoyed its share of success at BMS. In 73 starts, the organization has produced eight wins, 10 poles, 21 top-five and 37 top-10 finishes. Rusty Wallace earned seven of those wins and became one of the most-successful drivers in Bristol history during his time behind the wheel of the No. 2 Dodge. Ryan Newman set the track qualifying record with his blistering lap of 14.90 seconds in the No. 12 Dodge in 2003.

“Bristol is easily one of my favorite racetracks. I remember going there for the first time when I was around 10 years old. My dad was running a (NASCAR Camping World) Truck Series race there and I thought it was so cool that we were at a Cup track. To think back on that now as I plan on making my first Cup Series start there this weekend is surreal. I’ve been fortunate to have had success at Bristol in the Nationwide Series, even before the resurfacing. It’s a track that I quickly picked up on and it suits my driving style, for whatever reason. Hopefully we can have a good run and gain some points this weekend. That would be great.”

Crew chief Jay Guy on preparing a car for Bristol Motor Speedway
“I’m anxious to see how the new outside barrier will affect the top groove at Bristol. When they reconfigured it and widened it a little bit, you saw drivers making more passes on the outside. With that extra room now having been taken away, you’ll really need to have the car working well on the bottom. Forward drive is always important at Bristol, or any short track for that matter. If you can get underneath someone coming off the corner you can usually beat him to the next corner to make the pass.”
