No. 12 Abyss Dodge Charger News and Notes
• This Week’s Charger… The No. 12 Abyss Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-716 during Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). PRS-716 is a brand new chassis to the No. 12 team.
• No. 12 Penske Dodge in 2010... After six events, Keselowski and the No. 12 Abyss Dodge Charger team currently sit 27th in the Cup Series driver and owner point standings. Keselowski moved up three positions with his 12th-place finish at Martinsville Speedway on March 28.
• Turning the Corner… In each of the last two races, Keselowski and the No. 12 Dodge team have captured their best finish of the season. This surge has Keselowski just 69 points out of the top-20 in the Cup Series point standings.
• Abyss by Mobigloo... Adorning the sides of the No. 12 Dodge Charger this weekend is the cell phone application Abyss by Mobigloo. Available on all major cell phone carriers, Abyss is an original action puzzle game that challenges players to rearrange colored pieces by sliding them horizontally and vertically to create a path for the game’s pearls so they do not fall into the abyss of the ocean.
• The Rest is History... In the first start for Penske Racing at the one-mile PIR oval in 1991, Rusty Wallace qualified 10th and finished fifth. The organization has made a total of 50 starts at PIR with one win (Wallace – 1998), six poles and 13 top-five finishes.

“After a week off, I’m anxious to go racing at Phoenix. I felt that we had a strong car there in November, which was my debut with Penske Racing. I think we’ll be even better when we get there this weekend. The gradual improvement we’ve been making this year is exactly what our goal was at the start of the season. I love racing at Phoenix because it is such a challenging track. The surface is worn so forward bite is something that you fight all day long. The dogleg on the backstretch is pretty unique too.”

Crew chief Jay Guy on preparing for Phoenix International Raceway
“The new car we are bringing to Phoenix is one of the lightest cars that we’ve produced to date and we’re excited to see how it races. Phoenix has been called a “compromising” track because the two ends of the track are different.  The main area we’ll work on is the exit of Turn 4. You need to have good forward bite off that corner so that you can beat everyone to the start/finish line and down into Turn. 1. It’s a tough old racetrack. It can be tough on driver and equipment, so you need to make sure you take care of both.”
