No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger News and Notes
• This Week’s Charger… The No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-726 during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). PRS-726 is a brand new chassis to the No. 12 team.
• No. 12 Penske Dodge in 2010... After seven events, driver Brad Keselowski and the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team are currently tied for 26th in the Cup Series driver and owner point standings. Keselowski moved up one position with his 16th-place finish at Phoenix International Raceway last week.
• Texas Firsts… Keselowski made his first Cup Series start at TMS in November of 2008. After starting the race from the 37th position, the then 24-year-old driver climbed his way to a respectable 19th-place finishing position. In November of the following year, Keselowski made his first NASCAR start with Penske Racing at TMS, finishing 35th.
• Suitcase…Brad?... Instead of returning home to North Carolina following the Phoenix race weekend, Keselowski remained on the west coast for both work and recreation. He took in an Arizona Diamondbacks game and visited several sites around the City of San Francisco before heading to Infineon (Calif.) Raceway for a late-model stock test in preparation for the upcoming event at the 10-turn, 1.99-mile road course. He then flew directly to Texas, marking the third 10-day trip of the year for the young driver.
• The Rest is History... Penske Racing made its first Cup Series start at TMS in the track’s inaugural event in 1997. In 42 starts at the venue, the organization has garnered two wins (Ryan Newman – 2003 and Kurt Busch – 2009), three poles and eight top-five finishes.

Brad Keselowski on Texas Motor Speedway
“This will be my second race at Texas with Penske Racing and I feel like we learned some things from 2009 that we can apply this year. Obviously, I have a new crew chief and he’s brought some different ideas with him, but there are several things you can pick up on as a driver by just getting seat time. Our 1.5-mile program is starting to come together, but we are interested to see how the spoiler performs in what amounts to its first time in a true aerodynamic test. It should be interesting.”

Crew chief Jay Guy on preparing for Texas Motor Speedway
“Texas is a place with a lot of unique characteristics. The track has bumps in turn 2 and has aged to where grip becomes a big factor late into a run. We want to set the car up to run the bottom, but yet, still have the flexibility to run various lines thru the corners. The package that we ran at Atlanta was very competitive and we feel that we can tune on it a little bit to give Brad what he needs this weekend. This is another new car for us and we’re excited about its potential. Brad has shown that he knows how to get around these 1.5-mile tracks and I think we’ll have another solid weekend at Texas.”
