Keselowski Lead Penske Cup Series Drivers in Richmond
April 30, 2010
RICHMOND, Va. (April 30, 2010) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with a sixth-place qualifying effort for the Crown Royal presents the Heath Calhoun 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Drivers Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish, Jr. qualified in 16th and 27th place, respectively.
Keselowski was the 17th qualifier to make an attempt at the .75-mile oval and posted a fast-lap time of 21.388 seconds at a speed of 126.239 miles per hour placing the famed No. 12 Dodge sixth overall.
"The Penske Racing Dodge was just a little too loose on my second lap,” said Keselowski. “I went for the pole. I thought that my second lap would be a little bit faster. Everybody was running pretty good on their second laps and I just got a bit loose. It was a great first lap that puts us near the top of the leader board. We made improvements all day on our race car. Great calls by Jay (Guy, crew chief) and the guys to give me a fast Dodge and starting spot near the front tomorrow night."
The Crown Royal presents the Heath Calhoun 400 will air live on Saturday, May 1 on the FOX television network beginning at 7:30 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
