No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger News and Notes
• This Week’s Charger… The No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-726 during Sunday’s 500-mile race at Pocono Raceway. Brad Keselowski drove this chassis to a 14th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April.
• No. 12 Penske Dodge in 2010... After 13 events, Keselowski and the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team currently sit 25th in the Cup Series driver point standings and 26th in the owner point standings. Keselowski is only 53 points out of the top-20 in the driver rankings.
• First Timer… Keselowski will be making his first NASCAR Cup Series start at the Pocono this weekend. There are three remaining tracks on the Cup Series schedule where Keselowski has yet to make a series start: Infineon Raceway, Watkins Glen International and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
• A Family Affair… Keselowski’s father, 1989 ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Bob Keselowski, made his only NASCAR Cup Series start at Pocono Raceway in the 1994 edition of this race. His uncle, Ron Keselowski, picked up a win at the 2.5-mile triangle in the now-defunct USAC stock car division in April of 1974.
• Homecoming for Guy… Jay Guy will be returning to his home state for the first time as crew chief of the No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger team. Guy is originally from Lancaster, Pa.
• The Rest is History... Penske Racing has enjoyed considerable success at Pocono Raceway. In 73 Cup Series starts, Penske Racing drivers have recorded eight wins, five pole awards and 17 top-five finishes. The organization made its first start at the track in August of 1974 with Bobby Allison behind the wheel of the No. 12 entry.

“Pocono is a place that I’ve been to many times with my family. My dad always ran well there in the family ARCA car and those are my earliest recollections of the track. It’s a very unique place with its triangular shape. I think if you poll the garage area you’ll have a lot of drivers that will tell you the ‘tunnel’ turn is the hardest corner in NASCAR. Even though it can be tricky, it has become a place where first-time drivers usually run well. That gives me confidence that we can grab a good finish this weekend. It would be awesome to get Jay (Guy) a win at his home track.”

Brad Keselowski on preparing for non-companion weekends
“It’s very important for me to get a lot of rest over these next three weeks as we fly between the Cup Series and Nationwide Series tracks. Physically it will be very taxing and that can cause you to try to compensate by mentally working harder. So now you’re mentally spent as well. The two go hand-in-hand. The key will be to cut out any unnecessary activities and focus solely on what it will take to make both of my cars faster. It will be challenging, but I’m looking forward to it.”

“Pocono is a unique race track that brings out the best of the best. The driver and crew both have to bring their ‘A-game.’ Pit stops and pit strategy usually come into play at the end of the race and I like where we stand in both of those categories. It will be fun to go back to my home track, catch up with some friends and put on a good show for my home town fans.”
