Keselowski to Start 11th on Sunday in Brickyard 400

July 24, 2010

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 24, 2010) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with an 11th-place qualifying effort for the Brickyard 400 at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. Drivers Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish Jr. qualified in 14th  and 25th place, respectively.

Keselowski was the 16th qualifier to make an attempt at the 2.5-mile oval and posted a fast-lap time of 49.756 seconds at a speed of 180.883 mph placing the No. 12 Dodge in 11th-place overall.

"We'll take it. I'm new at this place and I'm not sure what fast is yet,” said Keselowski. “Our Penske Dodge Charger ran a good lap. We were better than we were in practice and I'm really encouraged by that. Hopefully, we can find some things that will carry over to race trim. We'll keep working on it and see if we can have a strong run in both cars this weekend."

The Brickyard 400 will air live on Sunday, July 25 on the ESPN television network beginning at 1 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on IMS Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
