Busch Will Start 13th at Michigan International Speedway

August 13, 2010

BROOKLYN, Mich. (August 13, 2010) – Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with a 13th-place qualifying effort for the Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday.

Busch was the 21st qualifier to make an attempt at the two-mile oval. He posted a fast-lap time of 38.794 seconds at a speed of 185.596 miles per hour in the “Blue Deuce.”

"That wasn’t a bad lap for our Miller Lite Dodge,” said Busch. “We were just a little too loose. The trend that the car is giving us is loose and we just didn't adjust enough for what the car needed."

Penske Racing teammates Brad Keselowski and Sam Hornish Jr. qualified 26th and 28th, respectively.

The Carfax 400 will air live on Sunday, August 15 on the ESPN television network beginning at 1 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
