Keselowski Qualifies in the Eighth Position at Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (September 10, 2010) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger, led the organization’s trio of Cup Series drivers with an eighth-place qualifying effort for the Air Guard 400 at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night.

Keselowski was the 11th qualifier to make an attempt at the .75-mile oval. He posted a fast-lap time of 21.270 seconds, at a speed of 126.939 mph, securing a top-10 starting spot for the No. 12 team.

"It was a solid qualifying run for our Penske Dodge,” said Keselowski. “I really spun the tires coming off of Turn 4, but a 21.20 second run is pretty stout. We were faster than I thought we would be on both the Cup and Nationwide Series sides. I didn't feel all that great about both my laps, but it was pretty good. We've got something figured out at Penske Racing and got some speed. Crew chiefs Jay Guy and Paul Wolfe have something going on. I'm real proud of that effort.”

Penske Racing teammates Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish Jr. qualified 21st and 33rd, respectively.

The Air Guard 400 will air live on Saturday, September 11 on the ABC television network beginning at 7:30 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
