Busch to Start Eighth at Dover International Speedway

DOVER, Del. (September 24, 2010) – Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with an eighth-place qualifying effort for the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway.

Busch was the 31st qualifier to make an attempt at the one-mile oval known as the “Monster Mile.” He posted a fast-lap time of 23.252 seconds at a speed of 154.825 mph in the “Blue Deuce.”

“We did a good job keeping up with a hot, slick race track,” said Busch. “We improved from our practice qualifying run to our actually qualifying lap. It's tough when it's this hot. I noticed that I couldn't get back to the throttle fast enough. To be inside the top 10 is pretty solid.”

Penske Racing teammates Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski qualified 21st and 31st, respectively.

The AAA 400 will air live on Sunday, September 26 on the ESPN television network beginning at 1 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
