Carlisle Companies Joins No. 2 Car Lineup

October 5, 2010

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 5, 2010) - The evolution of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge at Penske Racing continues as the organization announces Carlisle Companies (NYSE: CSL) as a new associate sponsor to the lineup of the legendary ride. The announcement comes as preparations are being made for Brad Keselowski to take over the seat of the "Blue Deuce" for the 2011 season and beyond.

"This is a partnership that I truly believe all of Carlisle's 10,250 employees will get behind and embrace," said Carlisle Chairman/CEO Dave Roberts, who himself competes in the SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race. "Roger Penske and everyone at Penske Racing share in our core beliefs and they align well with our company philosophy. Partnering with such a professional and successful race team will continue our goal of growing our business and expanding our product lines"

Carlisle Companies' brands will be represented as an associate sponsor with the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger beginning in 2011 in a multi-year deal. With multiple Carlisle divisions operating in markets visited throughout the NASCAR schedule, many of Carlisle's brands will likely appear on the car throughout the series season.

Each Carlisle division will activate their relationship differently, tailoring the relationship to serve their business objectives. Penske Racing will work with Carlisle to take advantage of customer entertainment and hospitality opportunities, driver appearances, business-to-business opportunities as well as the use of Penske facilities and employee engagement activities.

"Adding a company like Carlisle, a well-respected name in the global market, is a real benefit for Penske Racing," said team owner Roger Penske. "We always seek to align ourselves with brands and organizations that share similar values. We are confident that this will be a long and successful relationship."

The No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge is one of the iconic rides in NASCAR history. Drivers Rusty Wallace and Kurt Busch have captured 45 wins in the NASCAR Cup Series since 1991, with an impressive average finish of 8.7 in the series point standings. Both Wallace and Busch were champion drivers before stepping behind the wheel of the No. 2 entry. Brad Keselowski is in great position to continue that tradition as he is the currently holds a 374-point lead in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings with six races remaining.

"This is still as much of a ‘pinch me' moment now as it was when we first announced that I would be driving the ‘Blue Deuce' in 2011," said Keselowski. "I look forward to representing Carlisle, both on and off the track. We intend to grow together as we take the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge into the future."

In 2010, Penske Racing competes in the NASCAR Cup Series with former Cup Series champion Kurt Busch and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge, former three-time IndyCar Series champion Sam Hornish Jr. in the No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge and Brad Keselowski in the No. 12 Penske Dodge. The team also races in the Nationwide Series with Justin Allgaier, the 2009 series Rookie of the Year, in the No. 12 Verizon Dodge and multiple race-winner and current series points leader Keselowski driving the No. 22 Discount Tire/Ruby Tuesday Dodge. Competing in a variety of disciplines, cars owned and prepared by Penske Racing have produced more than 320 major race wins, over 390 pole positions and 22 national championships.
