Keselowski Qualifies 25th at Auto Club Speedway

FONTANA, Calif. (October 8, 2010) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger, led the organization’s trio of Cup Series drivers with a 25th-place qualifying effort for the Pepsi Max 400 at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
Keselowski was the 13th qualifier to make an attempt at the two-mile D-shaped oval. He posted a fast-lap time of 39.513 seconds, at a speed of 182.219 mph, securing the 25th-place starting spot for the No. 12 team.
“I'll take it,” said Keselowski. “I was excited that we ran that fast because I didn't feel like the car drove that well at all. We put up a decent lap for how it drove despite the fact that it wasn't a perfect run. It's pretty warm out and the cars tend to get on the loose side here. I was a little loose in Turns 1 and 2, got through Turn 3 better and Turn 4 was not that bad. We’ll take what we can get and keep working on this Penske Dodge tomorrow in practice."
Penske Racing teammates Sam Hornish Jr. and Kurt Busch qualified 37th and 38th, respectively.
The Pepsi Max 400 will air live on Sunday, October 10 on the ESPN television network beginning at 3 p.m. EDT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
