Busch Qualifies Sixth for the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday

November 5, 2010

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 5, 2010) – Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Operation Home Front/Miller Lite Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with a sixth-place qualifying effort for the AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Busch was the second qualifier to make an attempt at the 1.5-mile quad-oval. He posted a fast-lap time of 27.925 seconds at a speed of 193.375 mph in the “Blue Deuce.”

“That was a pretty solid lap for us,” said Busch. “I wanted to get into the 27-second range and we made some great adjustments after practice to do that. I was just real loose coming to the green flag for my lap and the car went through too big of a mood swing. We have Operation Home Front on the hood and we want to put them up front this weekend.”

Penske Racing teammates Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski qualified 27th and 36th, respectively.

The AAA Texas 500 will air live on Sunday, November 7 on the ESPN television network beginning at 3 p.m. EST. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on PRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
