Penske Racing Drivers Join Team PVA

February 18, 2011

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 18, 2011) - Penske Racing announced today that Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) will be an "Official Charity of Penske Racing" for the 2011 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Paralyzed Veterans, through their Mission: ABLE campaign, will be featured on the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge, driven by 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kurt Busch, and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge, driven by the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Brad Keselowski.

"We are honored to welcome Paralyzed Veterans of America to the Penske Racing family," said team owner Roger Penske. "They do outstanding work for our service men and women. We look forward to helping them increase their visibility within NASCAR."

Paralyzed Veterans have launched Mission: ABLE, a campaign to enlist all Americans - citizens, communities and corporations - to help America's paralyzed heroes fully live the lives they deserve and to receive what they need most: care, benefits and jobs. For more than 64 years, Paralyzed Veterans and its 34 chapters have been working to create an America where all veterans and people with disabilities, and their families, have everything they need to thrive. The organization represents thousands of veterans in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

"We are pleased that Penske Racing has chosen Paralyzed Veterans as an official charity for the upcoming NASCAR season," said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. "With their help, we will be able to continue changing the lives of our wounded heroes. Penske Racing's support will help us reach an even wider audience, enabling us to raise much needed funds and awareness for our paralyzed veterans' greatest needs: care, benefits and jobs."

About Paralyzed Veterans of America
Sixty-four years ago, Paralyzed Veterans of America was founded by a band of spinal cord injured service members who returned home from World War II to a grateful nation, but also to a world with few solutions to the challenges they faced. These veterans from the Greatest Generation made a decision not just to live, but to live with dignity as contributors to society. They created Paralyzed Veterans, dedicated to veterans service, medical research, and civil rights for people with disabilities. And for more than six decades, Paralyzed Veterans and our 34 chapters have been working to create an America where all veterans, and people with disabilities, and their families, have everything they need to thrive.
