Keselowski Qualifies 10th at Darlington

DARLINGTON, S.C. (May 6, 2011) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 10th for the SHOWTIME Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Friday afternoon.
He toured the 1.336-mile, egg-shaped oval in 27.460 seconds, or 179.082 miles per hour. Keselowski continues his string of strong qualifying runs at Darlington with his third consecutive top-12 starting spot.
”I’ve qualified well here the first couple of times that I’ve raced in the Cup Series and today was no different,” said Keselowski. “To put our Miller Lite Dodge in the top-10 for qualifying is awesome. Track position is key here and starting up front will certainly help. I think that we have speed in the car and it seems to handle each end of the race track. Now, we have to race like we qualify.”
The SHOWTIME Southern 500 will air live at 7:30 p.m. ET on the FOX network on Saturday, May 7th. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
