Keselowski Qualifies 26th at Charlotte Motor Speedway

October 13, 2011

CONCORD, N.C. (October 13, 2011) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 26th for Saturday’s Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Keselowski toured the 1.5-mile, high-banked oval in 22.832 seconds, or 157.673 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate Kurt Busch qualified 20th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge.

“I was just too loose,” said Keselowski. “As a team, Penske Racing has been working really, really hard to make sure we have our best cars for the last five or six races.  And we brought a brand new Miller Lite Dodge here to Charlotte and it’s really, really good.  It was so good, it was better than we thought it was going to be and just missed the change over coming into the night.  That is as excited as I can be about a car that’s probably going to qualify 25th or 30th because I know if it drives like it did with the front grip that it had, it’s going to be amazing.”

The Bank of America 500 will air live at 7:30 p.m. ET on the ABC network on Saturday, October 15. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
