Keselowski Qualifies 16th at Talladega Speedway

TALLADEGA, Ala. (October 22, 2011) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 16th for Sunday’s Good Sam Club 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Keselowski toured the 2.66-mile, high-banked oval in 53.250 seconds, or 179.831 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate Kurt Busch qualified 14th in the No. 2 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge.
“Nothing too exciting in qualifying,” said Keselowski. “You’re just out there trying to search for speed everywhere on the race track. The lap was a little bit faster than I anticipated with the Miller Lite Dodge. The qualifying speeds are so much slower than race trim that it’s hard to really gauge. Our Miller Lite Dodge was fast yesterday in race trim. I love racing here at Talladega and it’s going to be exciting tomorrow.”
The Good Sam Club 500 will air live at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday, October 23. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
