Keslowski Qualifies 20th At Las Vegas Motor Speedway

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 9, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 20th for Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS).
Keselowski toured the 1.5-mile, intermediate oval in 28.703 seconds, or 188.134 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate AJ Allmendinger qualified 14th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge. Keselowski began last week’s race at Phoenix International Raceway from the 28th position before finishing fifth. He is confident that he can do the same in the season’s first race on an intermediate oval.
“I was hoping to pick up two-tenths with the Miller Lite Dodge,” said Keselowski. “I think the field probably averaged three and I didn’t quite pick up two. Need to pick up a little more than that and I’ll go back to the drawing board and work on it.”
The Kobalt Tools 400 will air live at 2:30 p.m. ET on the FOX network on Sunday, March 11. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
