Keselowski Qualifies Seventh At Martinsville Speedway

March 31, 2012

RIDGEWAY, Va. (March 31, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified seventh for Sunday's Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway. The qualifying result marks the second-consecutive top-10 starting spot for Keselowski at Martinsville, as well as his second top-10 start of the season.

Keselowski toured the flat half-mile oval in 19.572 seconds, or 96.750 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate AJ Allmendinger qualified 27th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge.

"I think that's going to be respectable for Miller Lite Dodge," said Keselowski. "I would have liked to have had a little bit more, obviously, but it's solid. It's a 500-lap race tomorrow and we'll take that as a starting position. I think it was certainly a disadvantage to go early on because of the car (Mike Bliss) that dropped oil. After about the 15th or 20th car, it looked like the track was good."

The Goody's Fast Relief 500 will air live at 12:30 p.m. ET on the FOX Network on Sunday, April 1. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
