April 21, 2012
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (April 21, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 11th for Sunday’s STP 400 at Kansas Speedway. Keselowski, the defending winner of this event, narrowly missed out on his third-consecutive top-10 starting spot on the season.
Keselowski toured the 1.5-mile, oval in 30.846 seconds, or 175.063 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate AJ Allmendinger qualified on the pole for the race, marking the second-consecutive pole position for the No. 22 AAA Dodge Charger in this event. Sam Hornish Jr. will start 10th.
“That lap felt good. It just seemed like the track really slowed down by the time we went out,” said Keselowski. “We have a very fast Miller Lite Dodge and now we have a decent starting position. Congrats to AJ and everyone on the 22 team. So far it’s been a good weekend for Penske Racing.”
The STP 400 will air live at 1:00 p.m. ET on the FOX Network on Sunday, April 22. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
