Keselowski Qualifies 15th at Darlington Raceway
May 12, 2012
DARLINGTON, S.C. (May 11, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 15th for Saturday night’s Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.
Keselowski toured the 1.33-mile oval in 27.500 seconds, or 178.822 miles per hour. Penske Racing teammate AJ Allmendinger qualified 16th for the event.
“This is a hell of a place to go qualify, but I think our Miller Lite Dodge was respectable,” said Keselowski. “Probably not a pole winning car but definitely strong enough to qualify in the top 15 and we ended up 15th. I think it had a little bit more in it than what I was able to get out of it, a tenth or better, but all in all it’s something we can go race from.”
The Bojangles’ Southern 500 will air live at 6:30 p.m. ET on the FOX Network tomorrow night. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
