SPEEDWAY, Ind. (July 28, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 22nd for Sunday’s Crown Royal presents the Curtiss Shaver 400 at the Brickyard  at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Keselowski toured the flat, 2.5-mile, rectangle-shaped oval in 49.959 seconds, or 180.148 miles per hour, in in the Saturday afternoon time trial session. Penske Racing teammate, Sam Hornish Jr., qualified 24th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger.

“It was OK lap,” said Keselowski. “Our qualifying attempts haven’t been our strongest area with the Miller Lite Dodge.  Actually our run is better than we’ve been qualifying, so we’ll take it. I’d certainly like to be up closer to the pole with how important track position is here at Indianapolis. Our car is fast. We just gave away early track position for the race.”

The Brickyard 400 will air live at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on IMS Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
