Keselowski Qualifies 19th for Pure Michigan 400

BROOKLYN, Mich. (August 17, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 19th for Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
Keselowski toured the two-mile oval in 36.701 seconds, or 196.180 miles per hour, in in the Friday afternoon time trial session. Parker Kligerman qualified 17th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge. Sam Hornish Jr. will pilot the Dodge in the race and will move to the back of the field before taking the green flag on Sunday.
“Not quite what we were looking for in qualifying,” said Keselowski. “We definitely want to qualify better, but Paul and the Miller Lite Dodge team have proven that we can get to the front of the field. I’m anxious to get in race trim tomorrow morning.”
The Pure Michigan will air live at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
