TALLADEGA, Ala. (October 6, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified 22nd for Sunday’s Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 – the fourth race of the 2012 Chase for the Championship – at Talladega Superspeedway.
Keselowski toured the mammoth, 2.66-mile oval in 50.459 seconds, or 189.778 miles per hour, in in the Saturday afternoon time trial session. Sam Hornish Jr. qualified 10th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger.
“That’s fairly close to where I thought we would end up,” said Keselowski. “I was hoping for a bit more speed so that we would have a good pit selection, but our car was fast in race trim. Now it’s just about picking the right strategy.”
The Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 will air live at 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
