Hornish Qualifies 10th for Dollar General 300

CONCORD, N.C. (October 12, 2012) – Sam Hornish, Jr. and the No. 12 WURTH Dodge Challenger team qualified 10th for Friday night’s Dollar General 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Hornish hustled his Penske Dodge around the 1.5-mile oval in 29.984 seconds at 180.096 miles per hour during Friday afternoon’s qualifying session. Brad Keselowski will start ninth in the No. 22 Discount Tire Challenger.
“The Wurth Dodge was just a touch loose during qualifying this afternoon, but we feel pretty good about our chances in the race tonight” said Hornish. “Qualifying a little closer to the front is always nice, but at the end of the day a strong race car, a good strategy and execution are what wins races. The Wurth Dodge crew and I are ready to give it all we have tonight.”
The Dollar General 300 will air live at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Friday night. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite Radio Channel 90.
