November 17, 2012

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (November 16, 2012) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger team qualified third for Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 – the final race of the 2012 Chase for the Championship – at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is the best starting position for the team during the playoffs.

Keselowski toured the 1.5-mile oval in 30.841 seconds, or 175.092 miles per hour, in in the Friday evening time trial session. Sam Hornish Jr. qualified 17th in the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger.

“I thought it was pretty decent for the Miller Lite Dodge,” said Keselowski. “I was pleasantly surprised with the speed. Qualifying has not been our strong suit, so to put on some kind of decent showing for that is important. We’re going to keep working hard to be the best we can in the race which is what counts the most.”

The Ford EcoBoost 400 will air live at 2:00 p.m. ET on the ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
