FORT WORTH, TEXAS (April 12, 2013) – Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion, will start 16th in Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Texas Motor Speedway. Keselowski posted a lap of 27.917 seconds (193.431 mph) around the 1.5-mile track to lead the Penske Racing contingent.
Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion posted a lap of 27.996 seconds (192.885 mph) during Friday night’s qualifying session. That will put Logano 18th in the starting lineup.
“I was hoping for a little more speed in qualifying to get a better pit selection,” said Keselowski following his qualifying lap. “It was solid, not great. We have a really good Miller Lite Ford in race trim. We should be able to race to the front.”
The NRA 500 will air live at 7:30 p.m. ET on the FOX network Saturday evening. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
