Keselowski Qualifies Sixth at Dover

DOVER, Del. (September 27, 2013) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion team qualified sixth for the AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway (DIS) on Friday afternoon.

The reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion toured the one-mile oval in 22.278 seconds, or 161.594 mph. He briefly held the pole position as his run was under the former track record of 22.288 seconds set in 2004.

Penske Racing teammate, Joey Logano, will start the race from the 11th position in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion.

“That was certainly a really good lap for the Miller Lite Ford Fusion,” said Keselowski. “It was really fast off the truck. We weren’t where we wanted to be in qualifying trim, but we made some adjustments and obviously put up a good lap. Qualifying is so important here because when we get to the race pit road here is so small that having a good qualifying position helps you get a better pit stall and that can make a huge difference for your day.”

The AAA 400 will air live at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
