THE NEWS AND NOTES

The No. 2 Redd’s Apple Ale Ford Fusion

· NORTHEAST POLE PRODUCTION: Keselowski owns two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole positions at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS). He scored his first-ever Cup Series pole here in the fall race of 2010 and his third career pole in the summer race of 2013. The 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion has earned three poles to date this season as he’s doubled his career pole tally in 2014 bringing the total to six.

· FINE FINISHES AT NEW HAMPSHIRE: Over his last five starts at NHMS, Keselowski has not finished outside of the top 11. This includes a best finish of second that came in the fall of 2011, as well as three top-five finishes.

· STANDING TALL IN THE CHASE STANDINGS: On the strength of two victories, seven top-three, eight top-five and nine top-10 finishes to date this season, Keselowski and the No. 2 Ford team have secured a spot in the Chase and are well positioned to contend for their second career Cup Series title.

· DOUBLE EFFORT EQUALS STRONG RESULTS: To date this season Keselowski has raced five double duty weekends (competing in both NSCS and NASCAR Nationwide Series races). In those five Cup Series races he has produced two victories (Las Vegas and Kentucky) and two third-place finishes (Daytona and Phoenix). He has not finished outside of the top three in any of the five Nationwide Series races.

· PRIME TIME TV KESELOWSKI: On Tuesday following the NHMS race, Keselowski will appear on the TBS sit-com Sullivan & Son. This will be the second year in a row that he has appeared on the popular show. The episode will air Tuesday, July 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET on TBS.

· MILLER LITE DRIVER NIGHT: This Thursday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. ET, Keselowski will make an appearance for Miller Lite at Makris Lobster and Steak House located at 354 Sheep Davis Rd, Concord, NH.

· GO WEST YOUNG MAN: At the conclusion of Sunday’s Camping World RV Sales 301 Keselowski will make a journey to Lake Tahoe in California. He and fellow Team Penske drivers Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney will spend a couple of days with Team Penske partner Discount Tire at the scenic mountain lake area.

· LIGHTS ACTION CAMERA: On Tuesday of this week, Keselowski spent part of the day shooting a light-hearted and entertaining commercial for Miller Lite. He also spent an afternoon in the studio with members of the No. 2 Miller Lite team as they captured photography for upcoming promotions.

To celebrate the partnership, Logano took over AutoTrader.com’s Instagram account during the week leading into the race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

· TIME TO COME HOME:  The New Hampshire Motor Speedway event serves as a “home track” of sorts for Logano.  The racer’s hometown of Middletown is just 150 miles southwest of Loudon, NH.  Several relatives and family friends often visit the races at NHMS to cheer on Logano over the course of the weekend.

· TIME FOR SOME REST:  Logano and the rest of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers are looking forward to the New Hampshire event for several reasons – including the weekend break which comes afterwards. During the final off-weekend of the season, Logano will spend a couple of days in Lake Tahoe for Discount Tire and then he will take off on a personal vacation with fiancée Brittany Baca.

· A TRACK OF FIRSTS:  New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a track of firsts for Logano.  It is the first track where Logano saw a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in person as a young child. He also made his Sprint Cup Series debut at NHMS back in 2008, driving the No. 96 car as he finished 32nd.  Logano also won his first-career Sprint Cup Series race at NHMS in 2009, becoming the youngest winner in Sprint Cup Series history at age 19.

· BUSY RACE WEEK:  Logano will be busy this week before getting on track in Loudon.  Along with fellow driver Kasey Kahne, Logano will spend Wednesday afternoon bowling with members of the media in Mooresville, NC promoting the upcoming Pocono Raceway event. He will also once again take part in the Champion’s Breakfast on Friday morning at NHMS, helping support New England charities C.H.A.D. and David’s House.
