Keselowski Leads Team Penske In Dover Qualifying

September 27, 2014

DOVER, DE (September 26, 2014) – Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Wurth Ford team will start from the outside of row two in Sunday’s AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway. The fourth-place qualifying effort is Keselowski’s 19th top-five start of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

“We’re strong,” said Keselowski after qualifying. “The No. 4 car (Kevin Harvick) is a little bit better. We seem to be right there with everyone else or maybe just a touch better, but we’ll keep working on it. We’ve got tomorrow’s practices and we’ve got a good starting spot for Sunday.  It’s not a pole, but you can’t always get poles.  Still, it’s something to that this No. 2 Wurth Ford team can be proud of and we will look to move forward during Sunday’s race.”

The No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford and driver Joey Logano will start from the 16th position in Sunday’s contest.

“We just didn’t go fast enough,” said Logano. “We unloaded pretty far off today and we spent a lot of time on race trim. We got started behind the eight-ball and trying to make that up and didn’t put a great effort into qualifying today, so we’re gonna start a little further toward the back. We’ll just work on it tomorrow and try to make our Shell-Pennzoil Fusion a little better.”

The AAA 400 will air live Sunday on ESPN at 2:00 p.m. ET.
