THE RACE REVIEW

Recap:  Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford team started Saturday night’s Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway from the fourth position following a random draw Friday afternoon.  After taking the green flag, Keselowski moved up to second-place at the completion of the first lap and stayed in the top-three before taking the lead on lap eight.  Keselowski paced the field for a few circuits before getting shuffled back in the order. At lap 16, he reported that he was “going to take a breather” as some of the cars in front of him looked to be close to wrecking. Just a few laps later, on lap 22, the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford and the No. 42 of Kyle Larson made contact which was enough to send Keselowski into the wall. The impact resulted in terminal damage and ended the night for Keselowski and crew.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING

“All I saw was the wall. I don’t know what happened. I really need to see a replay to give an honest answer. The car is tore up, but it was fast, so that was good.  Time to focus on tomorrow (Sunday) and qualifying for the Daytona 500.”  - Brad Keselowski
