Logano Earns Second-Straight Front Row Start of 2015

March 7, 2015

Joey Logano earned his second-straight front row starting position of 2015, qualifying second for Sunday’s Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  Logano just missed earning his second-straight pole to start the season and his second-straight pole at Las Vegas.  Logano has not started a race worse than fifth in the first three races this season.  Logano’s No. 22 Pennzoil Platinum was the fastest in the first round of qualifying and was fourth in the second round before ultimately ending up on the outside front row for Sunday’s 400-mile event.  Logano’s teammate, Brad Keselowski, made two runs in the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion in the second round to put himself in position to make it into the final session.  Unfortunately, in the final session of the day, Keselowski’s lap of 28.004 seconds was only good enough for the 11th position on Sunday.

The Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will air live Sunday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
