Logano led the opening two rounds of qualifying in his No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion, but in the final round it was Keselowski edging him by .089 seconds in the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion to give the team a sweep of the front row. Keselowski's lap of 49.525 seconds was fast enough to score his first pole of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup season and the 12th of his career.  Logano won the Coors light Award at Martinsville Speedway in April.  Earlier in the day, Team Penske drivers swept the first three spots in qualifying for the first of two races at the Detroit Grand Prix.
