Recap: Joey Logano claimed his 17th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole position on Friday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway. In securing the top-starting position with the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion, Logano completed a season sweep on Coors Light Pole Awards at the two-mile speedway. Brad Keselowski qualified the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion in the 18th position after advancing through the first round of qualifying. In June, Logano started from the pole en route to leading 138 laps and securing his first points win of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season. On Sunday afternoon, Logano will be trying to join NASCAR Hall of Famers David Pearson and Bill Elliott as the only drivers to win from the pole position three times at Michigan International Speedway.
