KESELOWSKI POLE WINNING NOTES
- · Brad Keselowski's pole on Friday afternoon at Pocono Raceway marks his first pole of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
- · Keselowski was third quick in the first round and third quick in the second round before grabbing the top spot in the final session, besting teammate Joey Logano by just 0.089 seconds.
- · The pole award is Keselowski's first-career at Pocono Raceway.
- · The pole award is also the 12th of his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career and first since Texas last November.
- · Teammate Logano qualified second, giving Team Penske a front row sweep for the weekend. The last time they achieved that feat was in 2014 at Kentucky Speedway.
- · Team Penske swept qualifying in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Verizon IndyCar Series on Friday afternoon. In addition to their NASCAR sweep, Team Penske drivers Simon Pagenaud, Helio Castroneves and Juan Pablo Montoya qualified 1-2-3 for Saturday race in Detroit.
- · Keselowski's Sprint Cup Series pole at Pocono Raceway was the 496th pole for Team Penske, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this season.
