Logano struggled in the first round, but crew chief Todd Gordon found some life in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford in round two with Logano eventually turning in the fourth quickest lap in the final session. His teammate, Brad Keselowski, drove the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford to a fifth-place qualifying effort for Sunday's race.  Keselowski was at or near the top of the leaderboard each round, but just missed the top spot by 0.116 seconds. Ryan Blaney, in the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion, was fastest in practice and also was up front each qualifying session and will start Sunday's race second. Ford Performance swept the top five qualifying spots with Kevin Harvick on the pole and Clint Bowyer third.
