Recap: Ryan Blaney made the final session in Saturday's time trials for Sunday's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Sonoma Raceway and will start seventh after posting a lap of 75.637 seconds in the final round in the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion. This marks Blaney's 10th top-10 start this season. Joey Logano, the 2011 pole winner at Sonoma, qualified 18th in the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion after a lap of 76.104 seconds in the first round of qualifying. Brad Keselowski will start the race from the 23rd position after a lap of 76.219 seconds in the No. 2 Elite Support Ford Fusion.
