Recap: Severe thunderstorms shorted Friday's qualifying session for Saturday night's Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway to only two rounds. Ryan Blaney led the Ford Performance charge by turning the sixth-fastest time in the second session with a lap of 28.487 seconds around the 1.5-mile oval in the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion. Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion team clocked in with a lap of 28.539 seconds to qualify in the 10th position. Joey Logano will start his No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil/Autotrader Ford Fusion in the 11th position after a lap of 28.555 seconds.
